Ten injured at Rock Cafe 2000

A NOISE POLLUTION gig came to an abrupt end when 10 people were injured by a collapsing 12 metre (40 foot) high wall.

The incident occurred at Rock Cafe 2000 in Stourbridge, England on Wednesday (15FEB06), where 100 people had gathered to see the five-piece rock band.

Two fans suffered from fractured pelvises, and eight were treated for minor cuts and bruises.

A spokesman for the venue said the wall collapsed just as the cafe opened its doors to the fans.

Detective Inspector MARK WILSON from West Midlands Police, says, "Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collapse of the wall in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive."
